Image
I've always marvelled at the beauty of ceramics. Its construct is so mesmerizing and no matter what the product may be, it gives the product a very professional touch. Very recently i came across a technique used by turn.studio  and i loved it. I loved it so much because i love applying the works of cricut whenever and wherever i can. And finding this technique meant a direct usage for cricut with ceramics! So i thought of making a post about it. The artist behind this technique is Kenny Sing  whom you should definitely follow because he shares a great deal of process videos and these are so very helpful. Now if you're a beginner, this page sound can help you outline almost all the processes that you'll need to focus on. The Technique: what he does is, he uses Adobe Illustrator to design stencils from scratch. These are then cut out on vinyl (for which we can use our cricut) and then sticks this stencil vinyl upon the surface of the ceramic. Sometimes he uses a ...

which printer is best to use with cricut?

Image
Which is the best type of printer to use with a cricut?  Is there any specifications that you need to know? Will any simple printer be enough?  Should I have a printer inorder to use a cricut? Okay. Let me start by letting you know that you need not have printer to get your cricut projects going. But, of your works require some sort of printing, then it is best to have a printer. You can use certain hacks to use print then cut projects even without a printer of your own, but if you plan on doing large scale products especially for selling, and if it requires printing, then it is better to have a printer than to rely on the hacks. Because before you start selling products with your cricut, you have to make a lot of practice cuts to perfect it and this will be difficult if you have to keep outsourcing a printer. Now which printer should you buy?  Let me talk about my experience and observation. I have a wireless USB model printer (before i bought a better one) b...

Image
I love making felt projects. Plushies, keychain plushies, hanging decors and all that. Before i had my cricut all i do was dream about making felt projects because it was difficult for me to cut up the shapes perfectly, taking measurements of each and every piece. this is why every day i wake UPI just can't wait to start crafting! But I'm not someone who knows how to sew. This became a problem when i had to make faces for my plushies. The best option out there was to sew the mouth and eyes. But it's difficult for me. So i thought of something else that would help me not only get around my problem, but also make my plushie so much cuter. I thought of sharing this idea so that anyone could benefit from it. Without further ado, let's get right into it.  Materials Required: Iron on vinyl-small piece Iron/heat press machine Cricut (joy/maker/explore) I used canva to search for the kind of eyes i was looking for.  I searched for ones that have only bla...

Super Simple Technique to make stamps with your Cricut!

Image
i. Love. Stamps. I can write this in capital letters and anywhere. I love stamps so much that i spent quite an amount in buying stamps even when i was struggling to make ends meet. I don't know... It feels like mini cheap printer. I think. I bought it online from many instagram sellers until the day i realised that pcal shops produce them too. And for pretty cheap(or so i thought). I didn't even have to pay for shipping. what's more, i could customize and sell! And so i did. Untill i realised, local bought stamps were good enough keepsakes. But it didn't help me with a business because it bought a bare minimum profit that wasn't even worth all the effort that went into storing, selling, promoting, marketting and Shipping them. And there ended my business related obsession with stamps. Until, i bought my cricut. And found out that i could make stamps on my own. Now you can actually make money with these. Though these stamps are a little bit different from...
