Cricut and felt project Hack: make cute eyes simple technique!

I love making felt projects. Plushies, keychain plushies, hanging decors and all that. Before i had my cricut all i do was dream about making felt projects because it was difficult for me to cut up the shapes perfectly, taking measurements of each and every piece. this is why every day i wake UPI just can't wait to start crafting! But I'm not someone who knows how to sew. This became a problem when i had to make faces for my plushies. The best option out there was to sew the mouth and eyes. But it's difficult for me. So i thought of something else that would help me not only get around my problem, but also make my plushie so much cuter. I thought of sharing this idea so that anyone could benefit from it. Without further ado, let's get right into it.

Materials Required:
Iron on vinyl-small piece
Iron/heat press machine
Cricut (joy/maker/explore)

I used canva to search for the kind of eyes i was looking for.
I searched for ones that have only black and white so that i only needed one colour iron on vinyl. as you can see, there are lot of options.

i chose this one. It looked cute. So why not. Plus this only required one colour iron on. i used the transparent background option so that there would be less to clean up later

this is the eyes that i downloaded.
Now onto cricut design space.

went for the new project option

Chose select from photo Librarythe background was already cleared up but the eyes still had specks of white.
So i cleaned it up using the eraser tool. And went ahead and saved it as a cut file. opened it up on my cricut design space.
Checked the size to match my project.
And went ahead to make it.
I laid the piece of vinyl on the standard mat and loaded it on my cricut explore.
Got it cut,
Weeded it,
Transferred it using the transfer tape,
Placed a small piece of paper over the transferred vinyl and ironed it!

And it was done. I wasn't able to click project photos in my rush and excitement to make it. But I'll surely give it a try again next time so that i can upload a process video on YouTube where you can easily watch and learn!
