which printer is best to use with cricut?

Image
Which is the best type of printer to use with a cricut?  Is there any specifications that you need to know? Will any simple printer be enough?  Should I have a printer inorder to use a cricut? Okay. Let me start by letting you know that you need not have printer to get your cricut projects going. But, of your works require some sort of printing, then it is best to have a printer. You can use certain hacks to use print then cut projects even without a printer of your own, but if you plan on doing large scale products especially for selling, and if it requires printing, then it is better to have a printer than to rely on the hacks. Because before you start selling products with your cricut, you have to make a lot of practice cuts to perfect it and this will be difficult if you have to keep outsourcing a printer. Now which printer should you buy?  Let me talk about my experience and observation. I have a wireless USB model printer (before i bought a better one) b...

what is reverse weeding? how do I do it?

Image
In the simplest of terms, reverse weeding is where you transfer your vinyl first and then then weed. Rather than first weeding and then transferring the vinyl. Benefit: incase of small and intricate cuts, when you weed first and then transfer, it is difficult to get all the tiny particles on the transfer tape. before i learnt how to reverse weed, i used to loose a lot of of my designs because most of than not, i used to be hasty and didn't have the patience to make time for each tiny particle to get stuck to that transfer tape. Sometimes these small materials also move and loose their position. And if they fall of, not to mention how hard it is to pick them up because of its tiny size.  When you reverse weed, you get all of your designs onto the tape. It's fixed, it's steady it's there. No hassle. Now all you need to do is get rid of whatever you don't need. Which is so much simpler! This is why all the professional cricut crafters out there constantly remin...

is cricut easy to use?

Image
There are many reasons why cricut dominates the world of die cutting machines. And you can understand this if you just try to find out something about it. Cricut is most definitely the most beloved of all die cutting machines ever to exist, atleast in my opinion. And one of the reasons why I'd say this, is because of its ease of usage. I'm someone who normally struggles with the simplest of softwares. So i was kind of worried about my cricut. I didn't know if I'd be able to learn it and i read a alot of reviews related to its learning curves. But the machine was so damn tempting. It can do everything that i wanted! So i decided that even if it does take me alot time, i will do my best to learn it. So i began googling and searching about the features that i wanted for my projects. And i don't know maybe because i was already in move with the machine, i didn't understand why people said that there was a learning curve. Cricut has made the machine and i...

what do I need when i first buy a Cricut?

Image
What do I need when i first buy a cricut? When i bought my cricut, i didn't exactly research what else came with the packaging. So i was a bit sad when i found out that i had to buy a mat seperately. Because if you don't have the smart materials, you cannot get any work done without the mat.  And i had to wait until the mat had arrived. And it took a bit of a long time delaying all the rest of my processes. Anyway. If you're thinking about buying a Cricut explore, or cricut joy, or cricut maker you should buy a mat seperately . Unless the cricut comes with the essential set, you will not be getting a mat with your packaging and if like me, you're an impatient fellow, this waiting with a beautiful die cutting machine sitting there all by itself can be quite agonizing.  So get yourself a mat.  Which mat?  I'd suggest you go for the standard mat, if you do not have a project in particular in myour mind. If you do have any idea already, then understand what ...

10 MANY WAYS SOLVE YOUR PRINT THEN CUT ISSUES!

Image
I had this great big dream of running a sticker shop, and before i had my cricut, i thought die cutting machines were flawless. They just cut and cut and cut and you just gotta earn and earn and earn. I forgot to factor in the reality that this is a man made machine that is slowly getting perfected and that every single die cutting machines out there in the market has its own flaws. And where there are flaws, there are certainly solutions! One of the best features of cricut is print then cut, where the machine will print out any design of your choice, and cut according to the instructions you've provided on its software. In the beginning of your cricut journey, you will need a bit time with the machine to learn the practical realities of the machine. You must be prepared for this. The print then cut is most definitely an awesome feature and the cuts are precise. But there will be times when the cut comes out differently from the way you intended. It'll look a bit of...

is cricut a one time investment?

Image
If you're thinking about buying a Cricut with the intention of making it an investment for your small business, this is one of the questions that you'll definitely have. Is Cricut a one time investment? Do i have to keep investing money in it? If so, how much will the cost be?  Will the costs affect my income?  Let me explain a little bit about this to you by explaining a bit about the machine itself. Like every other die-cutting machines available in the market, cricut does make use of a mat which helps it to cut the materials. The latest machines; cricut explore 3 and cricut maker 3 do support smart materials, which means these materials can be cut without the cutting mat, but considering the costs and availability chances are that not all people would opt for smart materials. small business owners usually find material manufacturers to reduce the cost. So smart materials won't exactly be an answer for your problem, if you're making products in huge quanti...

must have tools for any level cricut crafter

Image
The must-have tools for any level of cricut crafter, but whom are we kidding? This one is especially dedicated to the beginners. Why? Very easy.  The moment one becomes the owner of a cricut, its as if we become possessed. The first time we get a project done, we become slaves to this machine. I'm telling you. We have no idea what maddness comes over us because from then on its a crazy crazy drive to acquire all those tools out there to see all the magic that this machine can do. We don't know how we're going to buy it, but we all end up finding means to do so. I myself am guilty of the same. See it's okay if you've got enough money and you're well to do. Then you don't even have to read further. But if you're someone like me, running a business that requires absolute finance management and care and is a bit bothered and feels guilty later on for having 'splurged'... Well. Then do stay and read.  I'm assuming that you've alrea...

does a cricut scoring stylus work?

Image
does a cricut scoring stylus work? Good question. Before i bought my scoring stylus, i came upon a few reviews that said that the scoring stylus doesn't work as expected. Hmmm... So i did a bit more research into it. Back then i only had my cricut explore so i badly needed the scoring feature to work. I am a box making addict. I just badly need the scoring tool because when it comes to drawing lines, i am a lost cause. No matter what tools i use, my lines are never precise and i always end up making unprofessional boxes. That's not good for my business or my confidence. So it all came down to my cricut.  Plus i really didn't know how to make 'line-free' scoring on my own. I hated to see those lines on my boxes. It was like the cherry on top of my lame box. Sigh. I really counted on that stylus.  And to be honest, when I saw the cricut scoring stylus and the cricut scoring wheel, initially i was a little bit disappointed that my cricut explore can only us...

is it possible to use Cricut print then cut without a printer?

Image
Who is this article for?   -someone who is in their research mode to buy cricut, looking for the right information. -someone who plans to start a business with cricut. -someone who recently bought a cricut and looking for ways to use it. -someone who has no printer at home but wants to use print then cut from their cricut. -someone who has a printer that does not have bluetooth and they have no means of connecting it with their android/ipad. - someone who needs more than one copies of a print then cut project and wishes to outsource the printing part alone. I can add a few more categories to the above list, but you get the point so I'm going to drive right in. The answer? The simple answer is yes.  You can use print then cut even if you don't have a printer. But you will need a printer to get the project done. This means that you can get the print then cut file, printed from outside. You just need to get the file ready, and send this file for printing.  This i...
