NEVER FORGET TO DO THIS AFTER EVERY CRICUT DESIGN SPACE UPDATE
Never forget to
If you are someone who just recently bought a cricut machine, this is definitely important for you to know. I learnt this the hard way, and i hope that by knowing this early on, you'll save a lot of paper!
Cricut updates it's Design Space software every now, and they let us know early on of there's any update planned. This is so that we can prepare in advance. This update often contains bug fixes or new features this making the software easier to work with. Here's something you should always take care of after every design space update.
1) calibrate your machine.
Because once the app gets updated, the machines needs to be realigned and tuned in with the software. If you are facing issues with your print then cut feature, you should definitely check if there has been a software update and calibrate the cricut machine.
2) if you printed any print then cut PDFs, reprint those.
Sometimes we save our print then cut file as PDFs. After every Design Space update, always save a new PDF. Or suppose you've printed out a set of projects, most often then not, your cut will go off if you don't make a new one. This is because there is a change in the scanning border updated with the software and your previously printed project has the outdated alignment. This tends to bring errors when given to cut.
3) reprint your calibration sheets incase you had any old stock left.
To make sure that nothing goes wrong with your projects, always reprint a new set of calibration sheets. This way, if there has been any change in the calibration setting, you won't miss out on it.
